Day 1 ~ I LOVE ME Challenge
In creating this challenge, I knew that I was starting it on a day that was going to be very difficult and emotionally charged. But as I said in one of my last posts, "Every excuse we have for why we don't have time to take care of ourselves, are the exact reasons why we need to!".

Knowing the physical and emotional challenges that were coming today, I took a bit of time before leaving for the hospital to stretch my back and shoulders...many of the stretches happening in the hot shower. Then I sat quietly in meditation to calm myself and collect my thoughts. I knew panic in me would be felt as I carried my bubba, so starting as calm as possible was imperative!
I am now heading to my rolled out mat for a longer restorative practice...these tired muscles need a good stretch and this overactive brain needs some *shush~shush~shush~ing*.

My gift of self love to get
My gift of self love to get started today was to sort toys. Might not seem like much, but the shear joy I derived from tossing stuff into donate bin, garbage and recycling makes it count (I think).
I had a hair stylist come to
I had a hair stylist come to my home and give me a haircut. I feel a million times better and it was so stress free not having to pack up myself and babe to get it done in town. After reading your post I may just take a few minutes now to enjoy a stretch by the fireplace while little one sleeps...
