Exploring Truth
If you were in conversation with a dear friend describing your behavioural values ~ the things that you think are most the important actions and words which you, and the people you are surrounded by, should do and say ~ what would that conversation look like? Would you be describing what is truly important to you, or what you think you should find important? Would you be jumping through societal hoops, or describing YOUR truth?
Take a moment to honestly reflect upon this... Are you trying to uphold an illusion of what your behind doors life looks like, because you think you will be liked more, happier, or accepted more ~ if the illusion were true?
What would happen if, even for a moment, you shed the burden of external opinion and reflected upon your truth, your values, your inner voice?
Now, what would happen if you gave yourself permission to LIVE that truth with every breath? What if you did more of what you love, for you? What if you said no to what you don't want to include in your life? What if, instead of trying to uphold an illusion for everyone else, you follow your heart and spirit?
“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” ~ Steve Jobs
