I LOVE ME Challenge continues...

Carrying My Heart

Have you noticed how much more you enjoyed the holidays when you made time for yourself? A sweet indulgence of time to restore, makes giving of yourself not only easier, but on some days possible! During this time of resolutions made, make sure that time for YOU doing what makes you HAPPY rather than what you think you *should* be doing, is a top priority!

My I LOVE ME time since my last check in has been spent:

  • dancing in the living room with my yogini (she has got some moves!)
  • a slow savouring of my latest find ~ Soy and dairy free Organic Fudge Bars...mmmm

Julie's Organic Ice Cream

  • reading ~ I am now enjoying The Happiness Project for the second time:)
  • playing with a recipe for Vanilla Orange Candied Almonds...when perfected, I will share!

Vanilla Orange Almonds
attempt one: delish but too sweet

almonds baking
attempt two: baking almonds...yummy work!

  • reading some of my favourite inspirational blogs
  • yoga by the fireplace
  • HUGE household clearout/purge...oooh it feels good to clear the clutter!!!
  • cooking a big family dinner...sometimes chore, this time slow~puttering~quiet~bliss!

 My sous chef
cutest little sous chef ever squiggling on the kitchen floor

And tonight, I head to bed early...no I mean REALLY early! After a few busy nights with munchkins all that my body needs is to create *zzzzz's*!

What have you been up to, feeding your beautiful soul?

It has been difficult but so

It has been difficult but so far I have:
* left the hospital to shower at home (Liz said that counts!)
* said yes to the sweetest 90+ year old volunteer when she offered to watch babe so I could make a cup of tea
* downloaded a number of books (none of them quality, all just fluff to enjoy) onto my ereader (Christmas gift) and I have carved out countless moments to read, even if I should be doing something else (like cleaning)
* took the time to write my son a letter (have been writing him a letter each month since he was born)
* let myself have a good cry when normally I would tell myself to suck it up and keep going
* joined a group of girls with intention to commit to 2 days a week of exercise together with our kids
