Mumma Monday: Survivor Mumma-hood
Have any of you mumma's out there noticed how much your life looks like a great episode of Survivor? Think about it... Each day we must try to Outwit, Outplay and Outlast our families to survive! Whether it is finding ways to get the most nutritious foods into our children (and let's face it, the hubby too!), get them to bed, bathe them, teach them, (and more!) all the while trying to keep our home from totally resembling ground 0 of a hurricane! It is all about playing the social game to be the last one standing at the end of the day.
Survivor on TV has nothing on the physical challenges we face. Truly. Have the contestants ever tried dressing an octopus? Nope! I have a toddler...I dress an octopus every morning and then again into jammies at night! Have they ever tried to heard cats? That's just a morning ritual of getting out of the house in the morning with kiddos! Contestants in one of the last episodes balanced multiple dishes on a tray with one hand. I want to know if they can do it with a newborn nursing, or maybe a yogini calling out *mumma* repeatedly whilst tugging on their leg at the same time as balancing those dishes! Show me that, then I will be impressed...though really, isn't that just what clearing the table after dinner looks like?!?
In fact, the more I think about it. 39 days on the set, kinda sounds like a bit of a vacation, no?
I would love to hear your funny stories in the game of Survivor Mumma-hood! Now, for our buff design...
