My Favourite Day

Winnie the Pooh

“What day is it?"
"It's today," squeaked Piglet.
"My favorite day," said Pooh.

~ A.A. Milne

One of my favourite quotes above. And a great reminder. The past couple days at chez Zdunich, have been...hmmm....challenging. You know the days when everything goes your way; when you only hit green lights; when the 3 year old does what you ask on the first (or even the first 10) requests; the bubba sleeps; when everyone feels great; when it really just feels like the stars align? That has not been the last couple days. The last couple days have been what make those blissful days so, well, blissful!

However (and this is a BIG however), in the most challenging of days there are moments that are so precious that if you are not present and aware, you miss them...and man, I don't want to miss these!

Gratitude is one of the sweet shortcuts to finding
peace of mind and happiness inside.

No matter what is going on outside of us,
there's always something we could be grateful for.

~ Barry Neil Kaufman

Today, is my favourite day....
...because I got the biggest, most fantastic gummy smile nursing my bubba in the middle of the night ~ love!
...because I got pulled into bed by my beautiful yogini putting her to bed tonight, so she could sneak more snuggles, goodnight songs and 'I Love You's
...because at storytime at Tall Tales Books (which is fabulous if you live in the Victoria area!) my little yogini left the story to come over to me and announced to the group as she returned "I just needed to check on mumma and my brother" ~ sooo sweet, my loving little girl!
...because my love lies beside me as I write to you ~ interjecting comments with his awesome sense of humour that has had me giggling for 20 years now. I am blessed.

Yup, today is my favourite day.
