My Gratitude

Scrapbook with that read, "Thank-you from the heart.".

i am a fan of taking time for gratitude. It has been a regular practice of mine to write one thing I am grateful for, each time I journal. Each entry, like each day, is different. In the past I have written everything from hearing a song I love on the radio (especially when the DJ just seemed to know I needed that song just then) to a day of playing in the sunshine with my little yogini, from surviving the day (you know those days) to someone I love surviving cancer again. Even just reminiscing now, looking through my entries, I find myself quite emotional and overcome with gratitude.

"Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world.” ~ John Milton

Taking time to record what you are grateful for, is a great way to consciously bring attention to the things for which we are thankful. In addition, you will find yourself looking through different eyes and throughout the day, looking for things for which you are grateful...the perfect parking spot; how amazing the moon looks; the yumminess of your lunch.

Here are just a few of the many things I am grateful for today:

  1. my little yogini ~ how can one little soul bring so much light in the world! love doesn't feel like a strong enough word...
  2. being published for the first time...holy moly! Financial Divas Magazine is on shelves now in Victoria
  3. the perfect cup of chai while I write to you...YUM!
  4. my washing machine...i cannot conceive having to wash all this by hand!
  5. the opportunity, tomorrow night, to meet Kimberly Wilson. A woman by whom I am incredibly inspired.
  6. everyone taking the time out of their days to read my musings here...thank you.

What, or who, is there in your life to be grateful for today? I would love to hear!

Namaste
