Sunday Crafternoon
One of the greatest parts of my yogini getting older, is all the craft/art projects we get to play with and create together! We joined the newly formed meetup group in Victoria, Artsy Mamma's which had its first meetup together today! The organizer had a great paper lantern project, which though my yogini was very tired and only partially involved in this afternoon, she has been happily admiring her work ever since. I know there are many more Papier-mâché projects in my future!
Here are a couple shots from today's creations...
tissue paper the colours of the rainbow ripped and ready to be decoupaged
layering on the tissue paper with glue onto the paper lantern
finding a creative way to get the wet lanterns hOMe
They are now hanging in the hallway drying awaiting their new hOMes...with my yogini's heading to her room, I think mine will be hanging over my desk next to the big inspiration board!
If you are looking for an opportunity to nourish your soul with a little creative play, check out this up-cOMing Art and Yoga Spring Day Retreat with me!
Happy creating!
