Top 5 Ways to Ditch the Negative Gunk and Replenish your Positive Energy

Energy is all around us.
One of the most common general health comments I hear in my practice is "I have a lack of energy." We all feel this at one time or another.
But what exactly is this “Energy” that we speak of. In our modern life we hear of our 'physical energy' that nourishes our body as well as it being talked about in a more spiritual nature as in the ‘energy field’ around us.
I believe that everything in this world has energy. Science believe this too, just ask a biologist, physicist, chemist, astronomer, geologist… they’ll tell you that the matter they study is made up of energy.
We, as humans, are made up of energy on a cellular level. The food we eat provides us with energy so we can work and play. It is important to keep fueling the body with proper energy sources like fresh fruits and veggies. The less processed the foods the better. Avoid anything in a can or package if you need to boost your physical energy.
Those of us who professionally practice Energy Healing also believe we are surrounded by an energy field, often referred to as an Aura. When our physical bodies are well nourished with food and water, yet we still feel fatigued and run down, this can be an indication that your energy field is stagnant, depleted or has negative energy within it.
Think about it this way: Have you ever met someone who just gives you a bad feeling? Maybe you are out at a gathering or party and someone you have never met before makes you feel a little unsettled or uneasy, yet all they have said is ‘Hello’? What you are more than likely picking up is their negative energy field.
Another example of this: Do you have anyone in your life that seems to drain you by being with them? It might only be for a tea or coffee yet after sitting there you are exhausted by the end of it. Or how about the opposite? Is there someone in your life that makes you feel energized or at peace when you are with them? That is your energy field picking up the energy they are giving off. Pretty ‘Spidey-Senses’ cool, huh?
So how do you exchange the negative energy that might be stuck in your aura with positive ‘feeling fabulous’ energy?
Here are my Top 5 Ways to Ditch the Negative Gunk and Replenish your Positive Energy:
1. Bounce, Jump, Dance, GROVE….
Shake, jump and drop off the negative while boosting and recharging the positive energy. Do this for a few minutes. Hop around on the floor or for a more effective approach try a trampoline or rebounder. Perfect for the kiddies. (Do you ever notice that kids love to skip and bounce around? They naturally know this is good for them!) For something that will nourish both the body and soul as well, I highly encourage you to join a regular dance or GROOVE class.
2. Make Love With Nature
The natural earth is fully charged with positive energy. Hug a tree or if you’re not ready to take your relationship to that level just yet, start off with a hike in a forest or along a beach. Swimming in salt water is especially cleansing. No matter what you choose, do it with an open heart and love it. You’ll know what part of nature most resonates with you by how you feel afterward.
3. Find what brings you Joy… and go there.
Restore and rejuvenate positive energy through activities that truly bring you joy. Try listening to music, painting, doing crafts, watching your favourite sports team or playing sports, cooking/baking, playing and having fun, reading inspiring quotations, random acts of kindness…. the possibilities are endless. If it brings you joy in your heart, do it. Go there.
4. Nourish your Soul
Similar to above, but of a more spiritual nature. Read inspiring books. Listen to mantra music by Snatam Kaur, Deval Premal or Enya. Say affirmations. Pray. 5. Receive or Learn Reiki or Energy Healing
There is nothing more powerful than actually receiving an energy healing session. It is a gentle yet highly effective way of releasing the negative gunk from your entire lifespan and rejuvenating your body, mind and spirit with beautiful positive energy. There are many professionals who do this work and who can even work with you long distance. Trust your instinct with whom you want to work with… you’ll just know who feels right.
Another option is to take a course and learn the art of healing yourself. There are many options from a 1-day course to entire year long study. While the principles you’ll learn to ‘clear your own energy’ can be effective when using them on yourself, I find going to another professional is still the cream of the crop if you need clearing or rejuvenating!
