What's a Mumma Monday?
When I was young, if anyone ever asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up the answer was "a mum". I still can't believe how lucky I am getting to live my dream everyday! I am blessed to have a little yogini in my world that is my greatest teacher in life thus far. I find more and more everyday, that being a mum has defined and solidified my values, making me even more passionate about living my practice! This can sometimes be a challenge. A big challenge...say, when you have not slept and are feeling run down. Generally that's when our choices matter most. When they are difficult.
Mumma Mondays will provide tips on how to find serenity and calm in a sometimes chaotic world of mumma-hood. It will offer ideas for living your practice, on and off the mat, in a realistic way (don't forget, I am in the trenches with you!). The great thing is that most of these offerings are transferable to being any type of caregiver...for children, as a teacher, caring for elderly family or a sick friend. All of these hats that we wear require us to enter each day feeling centred and taken care of, before we can possibly give more of ourselves! I hope you find these tips useful!
